less than 6 hours left till departure time!

My mother, Brad and I all drove to Utah on Saturday night and have been waiting it Utah buying some last minute items to take and also visting some friends before I left. Today was the start of my adventure. I had to come to a manditory meeting in Utah before I left talking about all the rules and the things that we will be doing while we are there. Orientation started at 11:30 today which went until 4. It was a long time of sitting! However, it got me incredibly excited! I kept looking around the room thinking that all the people I was looking at were going on this same adventure with me. I am so excited to meet all of them and to be able to share amazing experiences with them. I already know I will make great friends while I am there. I also met my roommates. They seem like wonderful girls and I lood forward to getting to know them better. I wake up in just a few hours and head for the airport. It is so silly of me to be up now but I am just so excited it is hard to even want to go to sleep. I have four stops, one of which is a five hour layover in Denver. Pretty funny that I have to wait in my home airport for five hours but oh well. More time to get to know others I guess!! I dont know how often I will be able to update my blog because the University does not allow anyone to either send pictures through email or post pictures on a blog because it slows down the internet or something like that. I dont really know anything about computers but I will trust them. Anyways, I will let you know when I am safe and sound in Jerusalem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY! Love you all!

  2. Are you going to kiss the tarmac when you get to the Holy Land? What a fun adventure! I'm glad you took the time to write right before leaving. It's nice to travel along with you from beginning to...No, I won't talk about the end...Now is much more fun.

We'll be thinking of you every day while you are gone so be sure to tell us what you are doing and where you are going. Joseph will certainly miss talking to you on the phone, as will I.

Let us know when you reach the promised land!

    All my love,
    Jennifer

PS I like the new background!

  3. I'm conflicted, Victoria! I'm so anxious for another post (YOU'RE THERE!) and at the same time, you're in Jerusalem, blog later! I'm so glad I have a copy of your calendar. I'm headed to bed, which means you're up and started on Friday already (don't forget that 1:15 Student Org. meeting...and be sure to be back at the center by sundown...shabbat shalom!).

Yes, I'm shamelessly living vicariously through you these next months. Make me proud!

    PS...Smooches to Flat Shmoofy.
